The Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides families with healthy foods, nutrition education, breast and chest feeding support, and referrals to other social and health services so that you and your family can grow healthy and be strong. WIC serves income eligible pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding people, and children up to 5 years old.

Things to Know About WIC

  • Eligibility depends on household size and income.
  • Dad, grandparents, and other caregivers of children younger than 5 may also sign up for WIC.

  • If you or your family member are on Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or Basic Food, you may be eligible for WIC, too.

  • Breastfeeding support, such as access to a peer counselor.
  • Health reviews and referrals.
