WithinReach is working in shared leadership with the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families and Washington Communities for Children to lead the design and development of a unified Help Me Grow system throughout Washington State.

As part of those efforts, we are recruiting early childhood champions for six Help Me Grow Washington Action Teams. Each Action Team will advise on the design and development of their respective component of the Help Me Grow model. In addition, all teams will regularly convene as one large group – the Help Me Grow Washington Stakeholder Group – to provide updates, share ideas and make connections.

If you are interested in joining an Action Team, please:

  1. Read the Action Team descriptions below, and view the recruitment flyer (in English and Spanish).
  2. Watch the Building the Help Me Grow Washington System webinar (or view the PowerPoint in English or Spanish).
  3. Fill out the online interest form (available in both English and Spanish).

Action Teams will be centered on the values of racial equity and inclusion, with the goal of creating an anti-racist system that serves all children prenatal to 5, with a focus on those children furthest from opportunity. Travel and child care stipends, translation, interpretive services and technology assistance is available for Action Team members.

Data Collection & Analysis

Analyze Help Me Grow indicator data to continuously improve the HMG system. This includes analyzing system usage data, looking for trends over time, and identifying additional system needs in order to fill gaps in resources.

Identify frameworks, tools and strategies to embed equity in the HMG system. HMG Washington aims to embed racial equity throughout all interconnected core components with an understanding that it takes ongoing systems, organizational and individual level strategy and action.

Identify and advocate for resources and policies that improve the well-being of children, families and communities. This includes advocating for the HMG system, as well as needs that are identified through HMG.
